Students have been working all year to prepare for the STAAR assessments. For all students, assessments take place during the weeks of April 7 and May 11.
With ongoing preparation, including small-group tutoring and access to individualized technology, the work has been steady. One student explained: The teachers know that this may be the most important test this year for me. And I WANT to do well.”
Every student wants to do well on STAAR. Your support is critical to them. Let your student know that you are aware of the test dates. Prepare the entire family for the days before and during the test: healthy meals, restful nights, and tons of encouragement. If you were taking the test, wouldn’t you want to know that your family has your back?
