This month we are focusing on the importance of utilizing context clues, summarization, comprehension, predicting, and theme.  Unit 1 explores students’ identities as readers and writers and how they can make personal connections to texts. Students examine narrative texts, both fiction and nonfiction, and how texts serve as a mirror to reflect students’ experiences.
